“Deconstructing the Design Process”

Designers discuss openly and honestly the origins, complexities 
and contradictions of their own design process. How does one 
begin that initial sketch on a blank sheet of paper? Where does 
that moment of clarity come from? How much of a factor is intuition?
 How is this process refined and tested?
