The Dallas Architecture Forum continues its 14th season of lectures with architect Scott MARBLE of Marble Fairbanks in New York City. Marble will speak Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at Magnolia Theatre, 3699 McKinney Ave. in the West Village of Dallas.
Single tickets, available at the door only, are $20 for general admission and $5 for students with I.D. Dallas Architecture Forum members are admitted for free. ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Scott Marble is a founding partner of Marble Fairbanks and a faculty member at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (GSAPP). His early engagement with digital technologies at Columbia University, teaching one of the first “paperless” design studios, has allowed Marble Fairbanks to pioneer innovative uses of digital fabrication and unique assemblies in their built work. Scott is a frequent lecturer in the areas of digital technologies and building information modeling (BIM). Scott received his Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University where he received the AIA Award and a William Kinne Traveling Fellowship and his Bachelor of Environmental Design degree from Texas A&M University. In 2008 Marble Fairbanks was commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art in New York to design a speculative project addressing the potentials of digital design and fabrication for the exhibition Home Delivery: Fabricating the Modern Dwelling.
